LAGOS – Association of Owners of Private Centres of Nigeria (ASSOPCCON) has urged the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to extend the deadline for obtaining Direct Entry form to the end of June.

The group, in a statement signed by Agboola Olatayo, its National President, appealed to JAMB Registrar to reopen Direct Entry portal to allow about 25,000 admission seekers nationwide to obtain the form.

He said: “More than 25,000 students have not registered for Direct Entry because they thought the registration would close by July 2019 as usual. Also these Direct Entry applicants have not finished writing their exams or seen their results before the Direct Entry portal was closed.”

Agboola added that IJMB students just finished their exams in February when the portal was closed, while the JUPEP students had not got their exam numbers when the portal was shut.
